At Menuridae, we believe that what applies to poetry applies equally to translation and editing – ultimately the aim is to find “the best words in the best order” so that what you mean is what the audience unambiguously hears, with all the intricacies of style, register and nuance included.

Lead Editor & Translator

Yuan Zhong

Translation is my passion as well as my profession, and I strive for excellence in each and every project. I am Yuan Zhong, a native speaker of both English and Chinese. I hold a MTI from Beijing Foreign Studies University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne, and have been accredited as a CATTI Level II translator.

Having first started as an analyst in one of the ‘big four’ accounting firms and then as a solicitor in one of Australia’s leading law firms, I bring with me not only professional legal and economic knowledge, but also the critical thinking, research skills, meticulousness and dedication to quality that have been honed in a high performance environment. Further, the strong cross-disciplinary background gained from both formal studies and professional experience, I can confidently handle a wide range of fields including economics, law and science.
